End of 2023 Guide to Air Miles and Points Promotions!
Merry Christmas! It’s a festive time of year and many of our favourite airlines and other travel companies are celebrating with their own festive deals and promotions to help you travel for less. So, here they all are in ONE place for your convenience, and, as far as possible, I’ve tried to compile them in order of when the promotion ends!
Virgin Red Points Sale
Virgin Red points are currently up for up to a 70% bonus depending on how many points you purchase! You can access the sale here but you need to be quick as the sale ends on New Years’ Eve!
Once you’ve bagged your extra Virgin Red points, you can head over to the Virgin Holidays Sale and spend them there! The majority of holiday deals seem to be ending on 31st October 2024, so make sure the holiday is booked for dates before then for this year, but currently it’s not possible to see online when the sale itself will be ending.
Royal Caribbean Cruises
For my cruise-loving followers, you’ll be pleased to know that Royal Caribbean have deals on currently that mean your 3rd and 4th guests travel for £129pp, which can be a major saving on a cruise and a big help if you’re travelling in a family of four. The offer on these bookings ends on 2nd January 2024 and your sailing must take place by the end of 2024!
Air France / KLM / Flying Blue
Air France are running a promotion to WIN flights to France for two - all you have to do is click the link before 2nd January 2024, so hurry over to their website now!
While you’re there, it’s worth signing up to a Flying Blue account to earn air miles on all of your Air France and KLM flights. You can read more about the many benefits of having a Flying Blue Family here.
UPDATED TO ADD: Norwegian January Sale
The Norwegian Airlines sale ends 15th January 2024 and is good for all trips booked up until 26th October 2024! Don’t forget to sign up to a Norwegian Rewards account (and sign your kids up to the Norweigan Family Account too!)
British Airways Sale
The infamous British Airways sale is back on until 30th January 2024! The BA Sale is well-known for having some great deals so if you’re planning a trip, now is the time to book. You can also use your Avios to part-pay any balance, so you can be bagging flights to New York for 2 for around £650pp, or less if you do decide to use your Avios towards the cost. Don’t forget that signing up to a British Airways Amex Card will also bag you 6,000 BONUS AVIOS if you sign up and spend £1,000 within the first 3 months. Necessary disclaimer that this is NOT financial advice, but these cards are well worth it if you want to be earning free flights!
IHG Hotels
All of the hotels in the IHG Hotels Group (so that includes Holiday Inn, Iberostar, Regent and more) currently have a promotion for you to earn double points for every stay in January 2024! You need to create an IHG account and pre-register for the promotion via this link to make sure your promotion is activated. After that each stay until 31st January 2024 should automatically earn you double points.

MyJet2
Finally, if you’re a lover of the all-inclusive, it’s worth signing up to MyJet2 because there are literally ALWAYS promotions running, which include competitions to Bag a Break which take place every week. There are currently 2 promotions for MyJet2, the first being £60pp off all package holidays, which does not currently have an end date but your departure must take place by 31st October 2024.
The second offer is 5% off all flights with Jet2.com until October 2025 for MyJet2 members, and this one HAS to be booked by 4th January 2024, so get in quick!
One of the other great things about Jet2 is that it also works with TopCashback.com. If you install their browser extension, it’s one simple click for you to earn cashback on your holiday purchase, and, who knows, maybe you’ll exchange that cashback for Avios or just for a bank account payout to give you some spending money on holiday!
