Travel Hacking with Norwegian Airlines
In case you don’t know, Norwegian Airlines fly to pretty much every Scandinavian country as well as many others in Europe! We’ve come across them whilst planning our trip to see Taylor Swift live in Stockholm (Sweden), and discovered the pretty decent travel hack to get (a) a cheaper flight and (b) AIR MILES (called Cash Points here)!
So here’s our quick guide to travel hacking with Norwegian Airlines, and we’ve popped in a couple of referral links to help you earn extra cash for that next flight!
Cheaper Flights with Norwegian Airlines
For SOME reason, when we booked our flights, even though Norwegian Airlines also had a pretty good sale on at the time we booked our flights, it was actually cheaper to book our flights through Skyscanner.
Skyscanner is a great travel comparison site where you can find cheap flights and customise the results based on what you need, whether that’s overall cost, departure time, landing time, etc. etc.
HOWEVER!!!! This time, I booked through Skyscanner and it redirected me to Booking.com. Interestingly, I had already looked at Booking.com for flights about 5 minutes earlier and they had been MORE expensive than both Norwegian Airlines direct and Skyscanner.
So, I was faced with a dilemma. Do I book our flights through Skyscanner, cheaper, or do I book our flights through Norwegian, pay slightly more, but guarantee the Cash Points?
Well, I didn’t have to choose! First step - cheaper flights through Skyscanner is complete! And, as an added bonus, I have my TopCashback browser extension enabled to earn me extra cashback on every purchase through Skyscanner and Booking.com.
Cash Points
Having booked your flights through Skyscanner or Booking.com, whichever is cheaper (and I’m pretty sure this would also work with Google Flights or Skiplagged for example, too), the next step is to create your Norwegian Rewards Family Account.

Sign up to Norwegian Rewards and nominate one of the adult members as the head of your Family Account. Then, easy as pie, sign up the kids too! Once everyone has got their Norwegian Rewards number, you can head to this page on Norwegian Airlines, and click FIND BOOKING.

Pop your booking details in, and on your ‘Trip Details’ page, you can click to ‘Add Reward number’.
