Efteling Theme Park Review
We recently took a trip to Efteling Theme Park in the Netherlands, and loved it! I just had to blog a review of this fantastic theme park. Efteling is widely considered Europe’s biggest rival to Disneyland Paris, and we can see why!
We travelled with our 3 kids - aged 2, 7 and 13. There was so much to do for all ages, the theming was stunning and the rides were great!
Tips for a Great Day at Efteling…
We arrived bright and early in time for the park to open, parked our electric hire car in one of the many spaces available for electric vehicles, and filtered our way through the busy entrance into this amazing park!
Efteling itself is huge. I really recommend downloading the app here before you visit.
Getting around at Efteling…
Efteling itself has a little train that can take you to the different areas of the park. This is not only the best way to see the whole park including the beautiful scenery (and a great way to break up the day if you have tired children), but it can be the best and easiest way to actually get from one area to another! However the queue can rack up quite quickly between trains.

Where to Stay?
Efteling has a number of overnight accommodation options! But if you’d rather stay locally and spend time at Efteling and elsewhere in and around Tilburg, there are some great places to stay including the Beekse Bergen Safari Park accommodation. If you want to look at options to stay either in the Efteling Hotel or nearby, including your park tickets, get in touch with me! I can help you book a fantastic trip to Efteling at competitive prices. There is definitely enough at Efteling to fill at least 2 days if you don’t plan on sightseeing anything anywhere else, so an overnight stay can give you the freedom to take your time in the parks and make sure you see everything!
Park Tickets
View of the lake at Efteling!
I would absolutely recommend pre-booking your park tickets. It’s good to know that if you stay at the Efteling Hotel you get your park tickets included! The park tickets on their own are inexpensive, which makes Efteling an affordable option compared to its expensive Disney competitor!
